CSG Mission Comes to Life

At Cobb Systems Group, we live by our mission – by matching professionals to excellent opportunities and by working with them to enhance their skillsets.

Mar. 13, 2015

At CSG, we strive to make optimal employment, in the context of a career, accessible to all who are willing to learn to manage their career as an asset and partner with us. We help new and established professionals achieve the empowerment, self-determination, and outcomes that a great career affords.

Wayne Cobb, President at CSG, is pioneering this effort by participating in the Montgomery College Alumni Association (MCAA) mentoring program. The purpose of this program is to provide guidance and support to MC students in achieving their academic and professional goals. This program provides a wonderful volunteer opportunity for successful MC alumni to support the career development of currently enrolled students by sharing personal and professional experiences.

As a Montgomery College alum, Wayne wanted to give back by providing students with resources that help them navigate career paths, polish technical skills required for job opportunities, and resolve various personal and professional obstacles to professional achievement. Now nearing the end of his second year as a mentor, Wayne has worked with students to overcome a variety of challenges – ranging from putting together a plan on financing extended education to providing advice on planning next career moves. Wayne finds the MCAA mentoring program to be a very enriching experience. “I enjoy working with students. My mentees have very powerful personal and professional stories; I ultimately wind up learning more than I teach,” he reflects. Wayne looks forward to starting his third year as a volunteer this Fall.
